CONTRACT The Contract will be entered into when 'the owner' issues the confirmation form and will be subject to the Booking Conditions as set out below. The hirer is advised to check the confirmation form carefully.
PAYMENT A deposit of one third of the rental fee is payable if the booking is made
more than 8 weeks before the start of the rental period. The balance shall be payable
8 weeks before the commencement of the rental period. Non-
CANCELLATION Any cancellation by the hirer for whatever reason shall be in writing
to the owner. On receipt of a notice of cancellation the owner will seek to re-
PERIOD OF HIRE Rentals commence, unless otherwise stated at 5pm on the day of arrival for Grace Cottage and 4pm for The Cottage and will terminate at 10.00am on the day of departure. The earliest the keys can be picked up is 5pm/4pm respectively. Arrivals start day is a Saturday departure is on the following Saturday.
USE OF THE PROPERTY The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number stated. The owner reserves the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not observed.
SINGLE SEX / GROUPS / STUDENTS AND/OR YOUNGER PARTIES are not permitted.
CARE OF THE PROPERTY The Hirer shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, fittings, pictures and household effects in or outside the property and leave them in the same state of repair and condition. The property shall be left in the same state of cleanliness and order as found at the beginning of
the hire period. The hirer is legally bound to reimburse the owner for damage to furniture/fixtures and/or property for replacement /repair and/or extra cleaning costs on demand .
GUEST DAMAGE Please report accidental damage or breakages if and when it happens. Arrangements for repairs and/or replacement items can then be made well in advance of the arrival of the next guests.
PETS No pets are permitted in the property or grounds.
SMOKING There is a strict no smoking policy in and around the property.
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES For insurance purposes additional personal electrical fires and appliances must not be brought to and used in the property.
CONBUSTIBLE MATERIALS, FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS AND/OR GASES, CANDLES & MATCHES must not be used in the cottage.
LIABILITY It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that when leaving the property during the hire period windows are closed and doors locked and that electrical appliances are switched off. If the property which the hirer has booked becomes unavailable or unusable for some reason prior to the date of the booking then the Owner will endeavour to offer a suitable alternative property, or failing this will reimburse the Hirer for any monies paid. The property owners will accept no liability for any damage, expense, injury, death or loss of any nature whatsoever suffered by any person(s) and/or loss for any damage to hirer’s vehicle from any cause whatsoever other than in the case of proven negligence..
FORCE MAJEURE Norfolk Cottage Hideaways cannot accept responsibility for any holiday booking hire period that is affected or prevented by reason of circumstances that amount to force majeure. ‘Force Majeure’ means any event which could not have reasonably been foreseen or avoided, even with all due care
RIGHT OF ENTRY The owner shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
CHANGE OF BED LINEN Bed linen is changed between Bookings, visitors staying for more than one week will be supplied with a change of bed linen if requested at the time of booking.
DATA PROTECTION personal details, name,address, email etc obtained by Norfolk Cottage Hideaways will not be passed to any third party
